Badami formerly known as Vatapi, is a town in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. Rock cut structural temples are the main attractions of this place. It is selected as one of the heritage cities by HRIDAY. The beautifully structured temples and forts attract tourists to visit this place. Badami is well known for the amazing rock-cut cave temples. These temples are carved from red colour stones. Four cave temples are located at Badami.
