    Paro Tsechu Tour Itinerary Details

    • DAY 1 Arrival at Paro

      Arrive at Paro. After completion of immigration and custom formalities, we will take you to the hotel for refreshment. After that we will be heading towards a farm house to see lifestyle of the Bhutanese farmers. Then we will visit some temples like Kyuichu temple and dungstse lakhang temple. While returning we will visit Paro downtown to interact with local peoples. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.


    • DAY 2 Paro Tsechu

       

      This day we will spend time to experience the great Paro Tsechu festival. You will experience the great customs of Bhutanese. All dressed in their own traditional costumes. You will enjoy their traditional dances and music played in background. After watching some we will take you to visit the interior of Rinpung Dzong. This was built to defend Tibetan invaders. After that we will take you to Rinpung bridge which is oldest in Bhutan. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.


    • DAY 3 Paro-hiking to Takstang Goempa

      After completion of your breakfast we will start our hiking to Takstsang Goempa. After climbing 1 1/hrs we will reach the view point cafeteria where we will have some refreshments. Then we will hve more 1hr of climb to reach the monastery. It is believed that in 8th century Guru Rinpoche flew here and meditated for 3 months. After visiting we will head back to our road, in between we will have lunch at the view point of the cafeteria. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.


    • DAY 4 Paro-Thimphu(55kms/1hr)

      On this day, before dawn we will take the blessing of Guru Thongdroel. This is the last day of the festival. This day is considered to be most auspicious day throughout the festival. After that we will return to have breakfast in the hotel and leave to visit National museum and Ta Dzong (watchtower). Then we will proceed to the festival ground to take the last visit of the festival. In evening we will drive to Thimphu. Overnight stay at hotel in thimphu.


    • DAY 5 Thimphu tour

      This day we will give visit to large number of places in Thimphu like:

      Bhutan Postal Museum,National Museum,Simply Bhutan,The School of Traditional Painting of Arts and Crafts,Archery Match,Centenary Farmer’s Market,The Memrial Chorten,Tashichhoe Dzong

      Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.


    • DAY 6 Thimphu hike to Tango Monastery

      In the morning we will drive to base camp of Tango monastery. This was built in 1689 by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgyal. This place has great scenery view points and you will have complete peace from this area. Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphy.


    • DAY 7 Thimphu - Punakha & Wangdue(70kms/2 hrs)

      This day we travel to Punakha & Wangdue through Dochula pass. In between we will visit to Druk Wangyal Lhakhang. After reaching Punakha we will visit Devine Madman’s Monastery-Chhimi Lhakang. In the evening we will give a visit to Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendup Lhakhang Nunnery. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.


    • DAY 8 Punakha – Paro (125kms/3 1/2 hrs)

      After breakfast we will drive to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten Temple. Then we will proceed back to Paro after the lunch. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.


    • DAY 9 Departure from Paro

      Our trip ends here. Now you will catch your flight to your respective destinations.
