Munnar, The Kashmir of South India is located in the state Kerala. The city is located around 1,600 meters from the sea level. It is one of the preferred destination for honeymoon. This flower blossoms once in 12 years. Anamudi, the highest peak of South India is located here. This place is a best option for trekking.

Visit Munnar is from Oct – Feb. Aug to Sep is the monsoon season, but it won’t rain frequently so even if you go to Munnar by this month or next you won’t be disappointed.
By Air: Nearest airport is the Cochin International Airport (CIAL) at Nedumbassery about 125 km away.
By Train: Munnar doesn’t have a rail network nearby. Though if you want to travel by train, the nearest railway station is Aluva 110kms, Ernakulam is 130kms and Madurai is 135kms.
By Road: Munnar has the bus station at the main street (bazaar). Direct regular buses from 6a.m in the morning are from Munnar. Buses are the best way to travel to Munnar by road.
